Biography of the artist David Beck:
I was born in Gray in 1980.
Autodidact by nature and have been since my childhood.
I left very early. The school was for me my first revolt against the system. Indeed, conformity and close observation of the rules being set by nature in conflict with my open mind. I refused to be in a cast.
I rejected the rules, dictates, systems, dogmas, doctrines, laws, conventions, standardization, conformity, academies and institutions. I hunted
«pundits of the well-thinking, » I refused conservatism, religion, mysticism and these ridiculous these archaisms.
communalism I hate, I hate codes, religions, etiquette and beliefs in an anthropomorphic God.
I reject the standards, I vomit fanaticism, I hate standards, models, good manners, principles, ideologies, philosophies, theories, concepts and morality.
I am an artist, be free, my freedom is based on my own beliefs and not those of the other!
My life is that of an unconventional man, a freed slave, a man emancipated.
My mind is imaginative inventor. I am listening to my own visions. I make no concession to the freedom and openness to forge my identity.
I do not believe in the ideal. I do not think so. My
ideal in the sense that I hear is a quest and an ongoing process, not a truth or another but a way of life. My life as an artist is a way for me to express my soul, my spirit, my consciousness. Everything that I create represent me. My works are very personal. Everything comes from my brain, my head, my inspiration.
All I revealed in my works is my inner world. What
Hypatia called «The eye hidden in us.»
I think the art is great. In this sense, where it has a spiritual and informal language, a universal language between human beings, whatever their social, ethnic or otherwise. The artist
transgress notions of borders, the artist has «hit metaphysics.»
