Ar183/389 - vernet Horace (d’après) - » Le massacre des Mamelouks rebelles au Chateau du Caire le 1er Mars 1811 » - Very nice engraving emphasized with watercolour and going back to the drawing realised by Horace vernet for the book written in 1819 by the Earl Louis Nicolas Philippe Auguste de forbin and entitled » Voyage dans le Levant » en 1817 et 1818 (planche 55). It is for sure a preliminary study very close to the final painting realised by H. Vernet and which can be seen in the «Musée des Beaux-Arts d’AMIENS». Dim. : 46 X 58 cm. - Clip frame - Gilt frame.
