This table is called "Alpar Story" is the story of Alpar. Alpar The plant is also called the "rat tail", in the form of its stems.

Several years ago, women were collecting these plants, soaked them in water and then used them to make bread. This practice is no longer used today, but the story is still told to children. These plants are used today as medicinal plants (mixed with the animal garisse).
The artist Rosemary Bird who painted this painting. She was born in 1978 in the region of Utopia, Australian Aboriginal community north-east of Alice Springs.
