Dating from the late seventeenth century, cast iron fireplace plate with the image of a scene showing the toilet of Apollo. The group descended from the Sun Thetis where six of her nymphs are employed to serve, by Francis and Thomas Girardon Regnaudin in the grotto of Thetis in the park of Versailles. From the composition of Girardon engraved by Edelinck in 1678. Iconography on a similar plate issued in carpentier H. , Plates, chimneys, Volume i, F. Nobel, Paris, 1967, P. 355, No. 990.
