Table Tita M'Baye.
pulp plant and acrylic paint on canvas.

«The young woman at the gourd is a symbol of Africa with its earth colors.
In this Table artist uses symbols that are dear to him as the drum and the line of conduct. These drums (right on the canvas and brought relief pulp plant) account for the artist a traditional ceremony after the wedding night. The groom's aunt joined him at dawn, accompanied by a man carrying a drum. If the wife had honored her husband by offering him her virginity, the man beat the drum to listen to the whole village.

In the bottom of the canvas, you see the symbol of the line-out on the campaign of the young woman. This symbol represents the artist for the policies right, pure woman.

In the table, two triangular face. For the artist, they are the sign of the meeting.

Hair of Women, the contour of the pumpkin and symbols are embossed into pulp plant.

Amadou Mbaye said Maktar «TITA»

painter, sculptor, art teacher and arts education in'ENSEA Dakar. One who is better known as «Tita» is a graduate of the Ecole Nationale des Beaux Arts. His fingerprints
a great symbolism are the result of a search of his cultural roots. The substance of his work bears the mark of the African land.
He mixes natural pigments from local fruit mashed with the baobab tree sap to turn into a paste compact plant, which emanates from his paintings deep earth color.
The story of Senegalese infantrymen permeates many of his paintings, and in memory of her brother, who died on the battlefield. These works are a testimony, a tribute to all those African skirmishers forgotten history but live in many memories of the people of Senegal and French.
Tita, artist, but with a human H, does not live by his art but for his art to this message so profound that it releases..
