This is a beautiful acrylic on paper work by celebtrated artist bhajju shyam gond tribal artist from central india. Bhajju shyam has painted a porcupine here with intricate detailing. He is well known for his international books'the night life of trees'and the london jungle book. This kind of art is known as jangarh kalam and was pioneered by jangarh singh shyam. The gond community are bard storytellers who would originally paint their works on mudwalls. Now they paint on paper and canvas etc. All gond art can be bought from www.mustarts.com.
