This is a Ming Dynasty blue and white porcelain plum vase. On the lid. Its design is very classical, The plum vase (mei ping) is characterized by tall proportions, wide shoulders, narrow foot, and short and contracting neck that can barely hold a single branch of plum blossom. Wanli (1573-1620) reigns, which suggests these emperors'hobbies. The vase is decorated with the motif of a pair of dragons playing with a pearl on the lid and the exterior wall. A reign mark on the shoulder reads «Made in the Wanli reign» (Da Ming Wan li nian zhi).
