In his cycle of moralizing subjects, Bosch, in his «Ship of Fools»
Represented an allegory of gluttony and intempérence.
The social satire extends even to the clergy: there is a luxury perfume and banter.
Is a shipload of religious Christians in the midst of debauchery.
As in the «Garden of Delights, » an owl gives a negative connotation of darkness, madness or evil.
