Guards Yawakiyi Jukurrpa (dream currents natifs) Napurrurla are women / men Nakamarra and Jupurrurla / Jakamarra. The tree'yawakiji'is great and gives dark berries. Traditionally the fruit is collected by the women and mixed with water before being eaten. They can be consumed directly from the tree.
This painting describes the collection of fruit by women Nakamarra and Napurrurla to a place called Mititinyanyanu north-west of Yuendumu. The tree is covered in pretty white flowers appear to leave the fruit directly after the first rains. Many birds also feed these berries.
