This painting represents the abundance of leaves of the tree Kurrajong, blown by the wind. In the region of Carolina, after a good rain, the desert is covered in these leaves. These sheets are mainly used for medical purposes by the concoction of various remedies. (bush medicine). The leaves are boiled to extract the resin. They are then mixed with fat kangaroo to make a paste.
This remedy is used to promote the healing of wounds, cuts and itching. It is also effective as a repellent against insects of all kinds.
