Ming dynasty blue and white porcelain Ten Edges Brush Washer

This is a original blue and white Ten Edges brush washer (十棱洗). This blue-and-white brush washer is decorated with the motif of double phoenix with clouds in the interior, and the design of Ten sets of Phoenixs on the exterior wall. The design of double phoenix chasing among clouds on the exterior. The «Double phoenix » design was a common decorative motif at the Ming court because phoenix is a revered symbol of the queen family. The porcelain is exquisite. The glaze is equal, its tune of blue and white is imposing and of classic elegance, magnificent and vivid too. Its texture is cobalt named Su Ni Bo Qing which is mixed of blue and grey. Its model is think and heavy with two circles around it, in the inner side of the brush washer, there are also pictures around the mouth of the brush washer which worth viewing and admiring a lot. At the brush washer it says «Da Ming Xuan De Nian Zhi».
