Very old staircase on the site of Ephesus, which led to the houses of notables in the eighth century BC
This staircase, at the time of this picture, was not accessible to tourists which explains its wild, overgrown with vegetation.
Charm of a much visited site, but so quiet and enchanting in the early morning. The worn steps make it possible to imagine the golden life of these senior people of the city which have climbed so many times ..
