Korean two level chest

This style is typical of Korean bi-level chests, showing the beauty of symmetrical balance through surface compositions. Dating back to 1850s. This piece is of Korean ash wood, with delicate and quite beautiful grain. It is ornamented with cast brass of openwork. This piece is good for storing out-of –season clothes because the side panels are made of paulownia wood which controls humidity.
