Edwardian Diamonds Ruby & Sapphires Brooch Flowers Basket

Most charming Edwardian brooch Circa 1920 depicting a flower basket with gemstones in platinum and 18 high Carat yellow gold. It holds no more than 90 rose cut diamonds, 7 rubies and 2 sapphires ! The fineness of line and lacey aspect of the piece are typical for the Edwardian period. We are sure of the origin of this piece because of the French control mark for 18k gold representing an eagle's head that was in use in France from about 1838. We do not have the weight of the diamonds which is normal in our trade when it comes to rose cuts. The brooch weighs 9.90 grams and measures 3.20 cm (1.26 inch).
