This is a original blue glaze gourd-shaped vase. Its design is very classical. In Chinese language, the pronunciation for «gourd» (hu lu) is similar to the word for «fortune and wealth» (fu lu). Therefore, gourd is very popular among Chinese people. The gourd-shaped vase was created out of people's fondness for it. The glaze layer is thick and seems it flows naturally which emerges a very beautiful work. The glaze demonstrates the austere luster of glass. Tiny bubbles are densely distributed inside the glaze layer. The style is traditional and the color is natural and bright. We can estimated it is an early Qing Dynasty works from the thick of the glaze. At the bottom is the blue and white color seal says «Chang Feng Xuan Zheng Wan Qi». 常豐軒珍玩器. It is an unique design in such works. Its shape is delicate and elegant. The whole body of the vase is well-stacked. It is a good choice of collection.
