Hummingbirds Marquetry

The background, with streaks of rainbow colors, comes from our common wood specie called Poplar, but rare when it contains colors like this one. Laurel Burl is an exotic wood specie I used for the green leaves, when carefully positioned it can be effective for rendering leaves, branches and even fabric.
