Angkor is a region of Cambodia which was the capital of the Khmer Empire are approximately th e ninth to fifteenth century.

If history holds the ninth century to the founding of Angkor, the Cambodian ruins of this site would be known as the monumental part of a presence dating back to the Bronze Age and revealed the necropolis of Koh Ta Meas, date at least 1800 bc.
No less than twenty-seven burials were identified, with their many offerings. The human skeletons of fifty-nine individuals identified are of great value to the knowledge of the prehistoric settlement of continental Southeast Asia.
