Note: In 1952 Picasso made a number of Original ceramic dishes depicting fishes in Vallauris with the Madoura potteries (See Ramie 166, 167, 168, 169, 170, 171, 180 and - in 1955 - 264. The ceramic in our photograph is not included in the catalogue raisonee of Madoura ceramics by Ramie and is therefore perhaps a “One Off” piece hand painted by the artist individually
