Dali works at a lithography stone in the Atelier Mourlot

Note:In this photograph Dali can be seen working on a stone. Verso is written “Les archives de L’editeur Joseph Foret, C. 1950€. The photographer, Robert Descharnes, worked with Dali for very many years and produced the film “«L'histoire prodigieuse de la dentelliere et du rhinoceros» («The Extraordinary Story of the Lacemaker and the Rhinoceros») in 1954. Descharnes took many famous photographs of Dali as he worked and has latterly, many years after the artists death, become a noted expert on Dali’s life and works writing many books on the subject.
