Note: This is an “avant les lettres” work for a poster made by Galerie du Pont des Arts, which started on the 10th February 1955. We have seen a copy of the poster after the letters which is in entirely different colours: Blue, Dark Blue, black, purple and yellow. The famous gallery, situated between the river Seinne and Saint-Germain-des Pres, was founded in 1930 to show works by contemporary artists and well known Masters. Amongst others it showed works by Picasso, Cocteau, Max Ernst and Arp
