Remembrance of marital commitment between spouses in the nineteenth century, the wedding crowns remain treasured in families. Sometimes, as is the case here, they had a highly decorative character.

This is Napoleon III period, circa 1850-1870, the crown is fixed on a red velvet cushion, surrounded by mirrors and symbols of marriage in gilded brass. The assembly is mounted on a wooden stand blackened and is protected by a glass bell.

This article about 150 years old is in very good condition. The quality of brass ornaments gilt is yours.

Purpose of collection or decoration strong symbolic connotation in interior Napoleon III and Louis XVI Empress, this type of memory ranks in the objects of traditions and customs or find its place as a curiosity in a small museum of Art and popular traditions.
