Pair of tidy made of patinated bronze, representing a Siren with a large shell as a tidy. Resting on a round base of Sienna marble, decorated with a narrow frieze of shells.
Under the Restauration, the decorative arts are pleasant, kind to delight the public and not to exalt the heroism. A sober decor, reflecting the peace and sweetness of life follows the warrior symbols of the Empire.
