A giltbronze dressing glass

A dressing mirror in gilt and chiseled bronze resting on a rectangular base supported by four feet in shape of shell. Supported by two stylized volutes, the mirror frame is decorated with a frieze of Greek with in each corner a flower. The top of the mirror is adorned with wreaths, flowers and shells.
Under the Restauration, the decorative arts are pleasant, kind to delight the public and not to exalt the heroism. A sober decor, reflecting the peace and sweetness of life follows the warrior symbols of the Empire.
