First, leaning against the sky, there was the tree with all its secrets and its wonderful tremor leaves the tree standing in the sun, endowed with silence and memory.
And then there were two arborists imaginary, two artists in love with the trees, listen to their secrets and their beautiful drawings of branches. In this long journey in the company of trees, from season to season, they wanted a book like no other, an object of unique creation, a collection of leaves and wood, a work of art dedicated to the great poetic mystery of living trees.
Thus was born this book artist, favorite meeting place between the artist and the poet's pen writing one hand what the other was burned. Nine remarkable trees, set in a unique landscape, have been their preference. And behold, both real and dreamed, lying on the precious paper, made prints and colors by Yann Hervis, put into words and echoes by Anne-Marie Royer-Pantin. They met in a case-bound in wood, designed and directed by Yann Hervis as a table.
