his is the reproduction of a work from François Pompon (1855-1933).
Son of a cabinetmaker, he moved to Paris in 1874 and executed decorative figures and caryatids for the façade of the City Hall.
He worked for 15 years as Rodin's assistant but was known above all for his many animal sculptures exalting the lyricism of light on polished surfaces and economy of detail.
