This is the reproduction of a statuette of a woman in mammoth ivory discovered in 1922 by R. and S. de Saint-Périer in the Grotte des Rideaux, at Lespugue in the Haute-Garonne.
Measuring 147 mm, it was broken at the time of discovery.

It comes from an Upper Perigordian level, the age of which can be estimated at approximately 21000 B.C. This object is part of the collection belonging to the Musée de l'Homme.
