During six weeks in winter, i've been hosted by a family in Low Silesia, Poland, close to the German and Czech border, near Jelenia Gora, for volunteering.
It's an exchange : they welcome you, they provide you the bed and the food, and you share the life with them during a month or more! Here we see part of my work there : I have insulated the ktichen roof, and re-used some old oakwood planks for closing the roof, «varnished» with olive oil to highlight the beautifull wood veins. Then i've added the windowsill, it's a oiled oakwood too. The last addition was theses shelves on the right, suspended by a rope with a knots. Now the kitchen is a cosy place !
