Victorian dating from 1880 or earlier. Veneered in walnut with brass bands to the top and front with a brass centre piece and key plate. Inside the original fall is in red leather in good condition with gilding to all four sides, both the top and bottom of the fall lift to provide additional storage. To the rear are two sections for inkwells, a removable dished pen tray, a lidded compartment and a stamp slope.

Its large measuring 18» X 10» X 7» tall approx, which is 45cms X 25ms X 17cms tall approx.
