Authentication: The piece comes with a blue folder and a certificate of authenticity signed by the publishers, Anna Hunter and Guy Thompson, July 1990.

Literature:
1) “HRH The Prince of Wales, signed lithographs”. Our piece is illustrated. The illustration shows a frame and ours in presented in a similar moulding suggesting that it came like this to the original buyer direct from the publisher. A copy of this work is sold with the lithograph.
2) “HRH The Prince of Wales Watercolours” (Little Brown and Company, 1991). This deals with the watercolours and discusses the prototype of our piece. In the work the Prince states “I was out for a walk while staying briefly in the area and as I topped the skyline I suddenly came across this dramatic vista. It was altogether irresistible, so I very soon found myself installed in a damp patch of moorland grass trying to capture the atmosphere of the movement before the sun departed the scene and thos expressive colours vanished”
