Small office flat veneer of rosewood and crimson stamped «a. Beurdeley in Paris. France, late nineteenth century era. The belt eventful opens two drawers and a side zipper front, shelf hung with a green leather, surrounded by a bronze mold. It has four arched feet, hoofed, falls feuillagées and gilt bronze fittings. Iron stamped «Beurdeley in Paris» under the belt.
Beurdeley, one of the largest woodworking business of art from the second half of the nineteenth century. Three generations it succeeded Jean simple craftsman who came to live under the first empire in Paris and his son Louis-Alfred Augustus who made the house famous and the little son Alfred-Emmanuel-Louis, who maintained the high reputation of House knew him and given new luster by his leadership, his discerning taste
Beurdeley Alfred Emmanuel Louis (1847-1919) was a special… He participated and shone at international expositions in 1878, that of Amsterdam in 1883, he won the gold medal and was a member of the jury in Paris in 1889.
