In April 2009, while visiting the ruins of Pompeii, I tried to imagine the last moments of life for inhabitants of Pompeii when they were surprised by the eruption of Vesuvius: Smoke, ash, lava… I started to sculpt a woman's face. On my return from pompei, my Imaginari persuaded me that this woman had lived in Pompeii. Its sad and worried demonstrates this effect of surprise when the first ash appeared.
