Mystery Solved. Peter Melonas Peter Melonas

When you read a classic you do not see in the book more than you did before. You see more in you than there was before. A return to previously held values of decency and fair play.
Indisputably the greatest fictional detective of all time, Sherlock Holmes lives on—in films, on television, and of course through Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s inimitable craft. Watson is Sherlock Holmes'friend, assistant and sometime flatmate, and the first person narrator of all but four of these stories. He is described as the typical Victorian-era gentleman, unlike the more eccentric Holmes.
Twentieth Century-Fox Film Corporation («20th Century Fox») decided to film The Hound of the Baskervilles. They would set it in period, which was a unique concept at the time. Rathbone and Bruce are the classic Holmes and Watson. Others have played the roles admirably and Bruce is often criticised for his bumbling Dr. Watson, but it's their off-screen friendship and the chemistry of Rathbone and Bruce that seeps through the celluloid and adds real flesh to the characters.
