Meine Bilder wurzeln in der realen Welt, aber es sind keineswegs Abbildungen oder Porträts im herkömmlichen Sinne, sondern vielmehr Symbolbilder. Ein Ausgangspunkt für die Arbeiten sind oft meine persönlichen Erinnerungen und Erfahrungen sowie Betrachtungen der Realität, aber auch Fotografien, die ich in Zeitungen und Magazinen finde. Diese dienen als Vorlagen für Zeichnungen und Gemälde. Die fotografisch genaue Darstellung interpretiere ich in subjektive Malerei.
