This is a Ming Dynasty vase. Its design is very classical. Symmetrical dragon ears adorn either side of the neck make the vase more interesting. From the typical blue and white color and the painting skills, we can find that it is an article of Ming Dynasty. The painting skill is mellifluent and compact, the color is dense and cascading, which is typical Ming Dynasty style. During the Tianshun period, the resulted cobalt color diversified into dark blue and pale blue with a grayish tint. This vase was made using imported cobalt blue pigment, with black iron crystals visible. Its tall proportion and thick wall exemplify the blue-and-white porcelain wares dating to the Tianshun period.
