The importance of Local Collectors by Karen Colville Canadian Artist
My choice of Medium is limited to Water colors when I frame with glass, this may reach local Collectors, I have had international collectors where I can roll and canvas and send in a tube or box, glass can become very complex as per potential breakage that may damage your art work, I was very careful when transporting glass by taping cross exes on the painting, kind of in the form of protective tape so that it the painting did break, the glass would not shatter all over the place.
Today, I sold my painting Dances in the Sky, part of myself was a little sad to let it go, because it is in a professionally framed frame and in glass, the sale had to be limited to a local Collector.
It feels so nice when a Collector appreciates your art, and really likes your work and supports local Artists. International sales gain recognition in the global art scene, local sales are as important with enhancing value to your work.
