Combining drawings and prints of the early Renaissance from the collection of Baron Edmond de Rothschild, the exhibition presents an introduction to the history of printmaking in Italy, from its origins until the last workshops of the fifteenth century .
Data December 28, 1935 at the Louvre by the heirs of Baron and Baroness Edmond de Rothschild, the collection that bears the name of the author meets one of the world's richest collections of prints, of niello and drawings of the early Italian Renaissance.
The exhibition combines drawings of the first teachers and incunabula often a few unpublished pieces belonging to the Cabinet of masterful drawings.
