Art Metz - Contemporary Art Fair

art.metz is preparing its 8th edition for April 4, 2008.
art.metz is a somewhat different contemporary art fair as we accept artists, associations and galleries.

art.metz refuses to accept as a criterion of selection the fact that an artist is supported by a gallery. It is everybody’s freedom to choose their means of diffusion and it must be respected. However, we have created a selection committee to help define our place in the art world and see to it that the works exhibited are of artistic quality.

In figures, art.metz is about 120 exhibitors, 5500 sqm of exhibition, 6000 visitors (in constant increase since the beginning), 450 pieces sold on the site.

art.metz is a non-profit-making organization led by voluntary helpers.

art.metz is the possibility for the local public as well as the people from the neighbouring borders, to see works of a good level and still affordable. It is also a good opportunity for collectors and contemporary art lovers to meet artists and gallery owners in the best conditions.

As in the past we will create a specific area of 180 sqm where, this year, sculpture will have the place of honour with the exhibition of a German artist Vera RÖhm's pieces.

art.metz is opened to all the artistic proposals and we will remain attentive to all the applications until the next fair which will show from April 4 to 7, 2008
