Self-taught, I still work in direct cutting with a technique somewhat academic. I did not realize before carving models, I see my long piece of material prior to apprehend with my tools and then I negotiate each stage very often up and down and sometimes in front. I do not use machine. All work is done with a mallet and gouge, which allows me a contact and a permanent bond with wood or stone. My sculptures are one block
Adopt a more figurative style. I wear a mystical vision on the current flowing between the sculptor and sculpted material. For this reason I use my tools to hammer excluding mechanized equipment. I work the wood that I like Cade and olive wood and various exotic woods. I work as the soapstone, alabaster, stone of Estaillades. |
