I painted this in mind my wolf dog Moulouk who is always looking for mice under the snow! And of course she grabs (much to my regret) but the «Samoyed» as the wolves have the ability to detect prey by dipping their noses in the snow because lowering the temperature of their mouth their breath is not detected!
