Le Christ serait porté par Joseph d’Arimathie et Nicodème en présence de la Vierge Marie, Marie Madeleine et Marie mère de Jacques le mineur qui lève les bras et les yeux au ciel. Reproduction of painting by Caravaggio entitled «Entombment» (Vatican Pinacoteca) The Entombment was commissioned by Girolamo Vittrice for his family chapel in Santa Maria in Vallicella in Rome. Christ would be brought by Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus in the presence of the Virgin Mary, Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Jacques minor who raises her arms and eyes.
