'Tricircle'is the first in a series of paintings that explore, geometrically the numbers three to nine. As usual, it is painted with silk screen inks and some paint and is fully fluorescent. The triangle is one of the most easily recognised symbols in the West as the Christian Trinity. It is the simplest geometric shape and the first purely theological symbol. The number 3 had a special significance to Pythagoreans and the Ancient Egyptians. The upward moving triangle symbolises aspiration, fire and the male force.
