Ruby 2 is from a collection named Gemstones. Extreme pressure and temperature, over extreme period of time create cores of concentrated energy. These are purified by the fire, hardened by the pressure and once light is added to the equation they come alive. “Gemstones” collection of paintings captures the way I imagine this creation come about. The artwork continues on the sides of the stretcher (gallery wrap) so framing is possible but not necessary. The piece is ready to hang.
