This oblong bronze plaque shows very clearly a portrait of the master under the guise of Don Quixote. Hollow metal weight: 1380 kilograms; 9.4cm X 42.7 cm. Maximum thickness: 2.2 cm.
A small hole in the left knee of Don Quixote shows that the melting was done in savings, and this draw is a test, probably single and abandoned, though drawing sand. There are about photography a kind of link located at the left front hoof of the horse and that as not only scratched the patina but bronze. Closely there are several attempts incisions. Come to watch, it is the stem of the uppercase letter «d», whose belly is very apparent in the photograph and was not finished. It might suggest an accident, but it is more probable if not certain whether an attempt to sign the master and divine Marquis, after the draw. This signature will enrich the unfinished Corpus signatures collected by the master John Peter Moore in «The 678 Most Rich Signatures of Salvador Dalí, Marks Púbol. Vienna, Collectors Club, 1984, isbn: 385016-024-6. As Probably a unique piece, and a test détat, price, already moderate, is not debatable.
