This tribute to the father of Dali's surrealism is very popular because is considered the father of all the «brain» if this is not psychoanalysis dream. Dali was very much inspired by the portrait of Fuseli, circa 1780-90, preserved in the Victoria & Albert (a size 27 X 20 cm), to believe that he has made a tracing from photographs, since the colored part of the stone is h = 24 X l = 17.3.
Dali figured the brain activity of Fuseli citing naked women offering themselves, and (at least) a daring man. Under his chin, Icarus, or at least an angel fall.
