Hommage à Igor Mitoraj xxxviii. Philippe Drix Philippe Drix

-- Philippe Drix

The unique theme of the work of the sculptor Igor Mitoraj (1944-2014) is the human body, its beauty and fragility, its imperfect nature in the suffering of being. His sculptures, inspired by ancient Greek, Latin and even Egyptian statuary, are deliberately wounded, truncated, skinned, cracked, broken.
I devoted to him a work of plastician photographer, who stages his sculptures, in places wounded, skinned, cracked, ruined, chaotic, in the state of vestiges or in the process of being. - Philippe Drix
