Osiris. Brahma Templeman Brahma Templeman
This painting revisits the art of Ancient Eygpt reinterpreting the conventions of their image -making. The central male figure of Osiris is attended by his sisters Isis and Nephthys. He is an early example of resurrection in mythology and is surrounded by powerful symbols. Each sister holds an Ankh representing Life; above each of Osiris'shoulders is an Uraeus representing Sovereignty and Divine Authority. The work is executed in a full palette of fluorescent colours, which will respond to uv light, adding a further dimension of mystery to this ancient culture
