Centered a is an October 2019 fractal mandala. It is built with painting software programs and originally printed 30«x30» on high gloss aluminum. It is inspired by Renaissance rotunda ceilings, port holes, microscopic views and kaleidoscopes. It is a window giving us a look outside at a mysterious, puzzling place. Rendered with a lot of fine detail, we wonder if this is a photograph of a dream we have seen. Centered a is also a window inside… A view through a microscope, or through a kaleidoscope. Powerful and energetic, it appears to be powerful and humming as we respectfully look through it. Reproductions at various sizes and on assorted surfaces are available here.
