Aphrodite v2B is my 2019 digital portrayal of the goddess of love and beauty. Known as Venus to the Romans, this is an updated version of Titian's Venus of Urbino. This series celebrates and builds on the life and adventures of the goddess of love. My version employs digital photography, wrapped in fractal software layers, rendered to look as though she is tattooed, floating above a mysterious, fluid environment. She casts a shadow from her right foot only. Sensual and seductive but cold and detached, it is a puzzle.
