Venus with red is a digitally manipulated photograph of a reclining Venus. This is my 2019 version of the goddess of beauty, fertility and victory. The Greeks knew her as Aphrodite. Built with digital photography, fractal, painting and flame software, the original is printed on high gloss aluminum, edition of 1 [artist proof]. We are pulled in closer to this other-worldly puzzle. We wonder where this is, why is she tattooed like this and what is happening? Why are the trees symmetrical and the sky red? Why is she blue?
