The woman at the cat. Charles Maurin Art Versailles
Charles Maurin, born Jean Baptiste Joseph Antonin Charles Maurin on April 1.1856 at Puy-en-Velay and died June 18.1914 to 58 in Grasse, is a French painter and engraver.

He is the student of Jules Joseph Lefebvre and the master of Félix Vallotton. Receiving the Crozatier Award on November 9.1875, it allows him to study in 1877 at the School of Fine Arts of Paris and then at the Julian Academy, where he later taught. He exhibited at the French artist with 1882 to 1890 and becomes a member of the Society of French Artists in 1883.
Anarchist, he collaborates in the newspaper the new Times of Jean Serious, as well as the White Review. He realizes engraved wood.
Remarkable draftsman, Maurin used and experienced many printing techniques: water-strong, aquatint, wood in the canif and more rarely monotype and lithography
